Chargia joins AEDIVE to strengthen its commitment to improving the EV charging experience

Madrid, June 30, 2025 – Chargia, the tech startup specializing in instant virtual assistance for electric vehicle users, has officially joined AEDIVE, the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility in Spain. This milestone marks a key step for the company as it deepens its connection with the national eMobility ecosystem and opens new opportunities for collaboration with major industry stakeholders.

Chargia: technology to improve the charging experience

Chargia was born with a clear mission: to enhance the charging experience for EV users through fast, efficient, and automated customer support. The platform acts as a direct bridge between charging point operators (CPOs) and drivers, providing real-time assistance via WhatsApp—right when and where it’s needed most.

Behind Chargia are Eduardo Medina Banderas and Martín Fimia Casalilla, two entrepreneurs with strong backgrounds in mobility and technology. Eduardo has spent the past several years leading the development of Activacar, one of the pioneering platforms in shared electric mobility in Spain. His experience and leadership have made him a well-known figure in the industry. Eduardo is driven by a clear belief: if we don’t improve the user experience at the charging point, the transition to electric mobility will remain incomplete.

With this goal in mind, Eduardo partnered with Martín to create a proprietary AI system from the ground up—one that enables a more human, contextual, and efficient automated assistance experience. Their ambition is to allow any user to resolve issues, ask questions, or receive information without delays, phone calls, or friction—right from their mobile phone.

A scalable solution with global ambition

Chargia has had an international vision since day one. The company is currently preparing to expand into key European markets, while also launching its strategy for the U.S. and Latin America.

The first steps in this direction have already been taken with the establishment of a Florida-based LLC. From this hub, Chargia aims to reshape the way EV charging support is delivered, forming alliances with CPOs, utilities, OEMs, and mobility-focused tech companies that share the same user-centric vision.

“We want Chargia to be wherever there’s a charging point and a user with a question—whether it’s in Madrid, Berlin, Mexico City, or Miami,” says Eduardo Medina.

AEDIVE: a natural alliance within the ecosystem

Joining AEDIVE represents a strategic and natural partnership for Chargia. AEDIVE is Spain’s leading association for electric mobility, bringing together over 200 members including manufacturers, operators, integrators, engineering firms, public administrations, startups, and technology providers.

Chargia highly values AEDIVE’s remarkable work in shaping and strengthening the sector—not only in terms of policy and regulation, but also in its commitment to collaboration and industry best practices. Being part of AEDIVE is both an honor and a responsibility: to bring our innovative perspective and proactive energy to help solve real problems for both CPOs and users.

It also enables Chargia to connect directly with all major CPO players in Spain, fostering strong partnerships and presenting its virtual assistant solution as a strategic asset for customer experience, operational scalability, and competitive advantage.

AI-powered support for frictionless charging

Artificial Intelligence plays a central role in Chargia’s value proposition. Our technology integrates directly with CPO backend systems to deliver automated yet personalized support, fully contextualized and available 24/7.

This deep integration allows Chargia to monitor charging station status in real-time, interpret user needs, guide drivers step-by-step through the charging process, and resolve both technical and operational issues. And all of this happens without needing a human agent at the front line—unlocking massive scalability and unmatched reliability.

This vision is now amplified by our active participation in AEDIVE, where we aim to contribute to the sector’s evolution and build a better, smarter, and more user-friendly future for electric mobility.
